Very useful dual-purpose performer; runner-up in Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen last summer and arrives on the back of a good effort on the Flat at Newmarket three weeks ago; very much one to consider back in this sphere.

Saw daylight all too late when strong-finishing fifth in this race last year (much better than his 2024 performance in it); Meydan this January/February did not yield much (stiff tasks) but he's now 4lb lower than this time last year, too well handicapped to be ruled out; rare run in cheekpieces.

Useful on Flat and over hurdles; good second in notable summer handicap at Market Rasen on last attempt in this sphere; filled the same position, albeit comfortably beaten by Rubaud on same terms, in this contest 12 months ago; needs a personal best to go one better.

All of his wins have come over 1m4f or further and the last time he tackled this trip he was soundly beaten over C&D in last year's John Smith's Cup; however, York brings out the best in this 8yo, who ran well when eighth in the Ebor here last time, and he's not ruled out at his favourite venue.

Dual York winner and he was second in last year's Ebor (good to firm) off 9lb lower than today; never better on Flat than when winning at Musselburgh this April and a badly hampered fifth of ten at Newmarket in May, both also over 1m6f; another career best as a hurdler when second in July, so he has strong each-way prospects at the very least.
