Soundly beaten when upped to Grade 2 level last month (race in which Whiskey Yankee finished fifth) but had shown useful form beforehand, notably when winning by over 8l at Uttoxeter (2m7f, good to soft) two starts ago; can cope with this drop back in trip and has a big role to play. |

11st 2lb |
3m point runner-up who built upon the promise of his first two hurdle starts (2m4f, soft) with comfortable win in four-runner maiden at Uttoxeter (2m7f, good to soft) on New Year's Eve; this is a much tougher test of his credentials but he looked good last time and could be involved. |

Reappeared with all-the-way win in Bangor novice (2m7f, soft) and bounced back from chase debut flop with well-held second in novice hurdle at Leicester (2m4f, heavy), behind subsequent Grade 2 runner-up Ubatuba; this unexposed 7yo has potential off his current mark, especially now up in trip. |

10st 10lb |
Won hunter chase here (4m, good) last May and added a handicap here (3m1f, heavy) in November, before finishing second at Sandown (3m4f, good to soft); pulled up in Welsh National next time and tailed off over hurdles latest, but this 11yo has an each-way squeak if returning to form back here. |

Thorough stayer who won amateur riders' chase at Cheltenham (3m1f, heavy) in November and was second in London National at Sandown (3m4f, good to soft) on next outing; didn't fire in Welsh National last time, though, and his hurdling ability is tricky to gauge. |

Verdict
This looks to be a good opportunity for LON CHANEY to follow up his win over C&D last time. He has most to fear from Skuna Bay who made all at Bangor in November and produced a solid effort when chasing home a stablemate of the selection at Leicester last month. Hung Jury was last seen pulling up in the Welsh Grand National and is a fascinating contender back over hurdles but may lack gears at the business end. [Andrew Bladen]
