The sole 3yo in the field and he showed he's smart on just his fifth career start when 1l second of 15 in the Group 3 Jersey at Royal Ascot (7f, good to firm) in June, although it probably wasn't a vintage renewal of that race; Australian interests subsequently acquired a 50% share in him and he's moved from James Ferguson to Harry Eustace ahead of this first outing for 11 weeks. |

Impressive when making all to win by 4l on his Yarmouth debut (6f, good to soft) last September, but found things rather tougher when seventh of the eight runners in the Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket (6f, good) 11 days later; back in much calmer waters on this return and should be hard to beat despite the penalty and different surface. |
