Dettori’s Day? Frankie Bids for 180/1 Thursday Racing League Treble

Frankie Dettori’s Racing League Chances Assessed

Top jockey Frankie Dettori heads to Newcastle on Thursday to take part in the third week of the Racing League. Frankie’s Wales & The West team currently sit in second place in the Racing League, and Dettori will be hoping to narrow the gap with a trio of rides on Thursday which combine to produce a 180/1 treble – which can you can back with one click of the banner below.

Postmark (6.15 Newcastle)

Frankie Dettori’s first ride on the Racing League Thursday card is POSTMARK, who runs in the 1m2f 0-90 handicap.

This gelding was picked up for £50,000 at the sales last month having gained one win from seven starts for Ralph Beckett, and now running for Milton Harris, he made a winning debut for his new connections in a Racing League handicap at Lingfield a fortnight ago.

Postmark wasn’t all out to land that contest, pulling clear to score by just over 2l, and therefore it’s perhaps no surprise that the handicapper has pushed him up 7lb for the success.

The first-time headgear combination that Postmark wore there is retained today, and Frankie Dettori keeps the partnership intact, so another big showing looks in the offing.

Zaman Jemil (7.45 Newcastle)

Frankie Dettori teams up with Harry & Roger Charlton for the second of his Racing League rides, ZAMAN JEMIL, who participates in the card’s 6f nursery.

This Invincible Spirit colt has made the track three times so far, taking a step forward form-wise on each occasion, coming closest to getting off the mark when beaten just a head into second at Pontefract earlier this month, a creditable showing given that he was drawn in stall 10.

Zaman Jemil looks a likely improver now sent handicapping off a mark of 76, especially given that the best is very likely still to come.

Cuban Breeze (8.45 Newcastle)

Frankie’s final ride on Thursday’s Racing League card comes in the closing 5f handicap, where he gets aboard CUBAN BREEZE for trainer David Evans.

This daughter of Bated Breath has really come good recently, winning three of her last six starts including in the valuable Sprint Series Final at Windsor on penultimate outing.

Cuban Breeze was sent off 11/2 to follow up in a competitive 5f handicap at York’s Ebor Festival 8 days ago, and although she could only finish fourth there it may have been that the 5f trip was on the sharp side.

Expect Cuban Breeze to appreciate stepping back up to 6f here, and in her current mood she has to be strongly respected in what rates a drop in class from the races that she has been contesting.
