10yo whose sole hurdle win (from 25 attempts) came in a selling handicap at Cartmel in June 2021, and he was down the field last November on his latest start; however, he posted a couple of fair efforts previously and is an each-way contender if back on song.

Just 1-25 over hurdles, the win coming in a Cartmel seller in June 2021, under Jamie Hamilton; has been running well enough to figure but others look more likely for win purposes.

held up in rear, outpaced and still plenty to do before 2 out, tenderly handled but stayed on approaching last, short of room and switched sharply right after last, kept on run-in, never on terms (jockey said, regarding running and riding, that her instructions were to ride gelding at the rear of the field with the intention to produce him late as he finds nothing off the bridle and only had one run. jockey added gelding had been keen to post so she decided to drop him right out to settle him and to prevent him from becoming overly competitive early in the race. thereafter, she acknowledged that, having seen the film of the race, she had overdone those tactics and, although she did ask the gelding for his effort jumping the last even though she wasn't making any ground on the leaders on the run to the line, she had become too remote to mount an effective challenge. trainer confirmed jockey instructions but would have liked to see gelding in closer contention at the top of the hill in order to make his run. vet said gelding was one fifth lame on his left hind)
