Got up close home in this race on final start last term (good) and he surged back to form with another C&D win by a neck eight weeks ago (good to firm); a bit below form on his only start on softer than good (good to soft here last July); just 1lb higher than last time and, if the ground is okay, another strong finish from off the pace can't be ruled out. |

Progressive in 2023 and best form yet when a steady late surge over C&D (good) last August took him past a useful one to lead near the line; he wasn't seen again until York in May where he travelled well for a long way but just eased home in ninth once his winning chance had gone; the stronger the pace the better; can go well. |
