Form & Verdict
The winner of three 2m novices on good ground (one a Listed event); positives to take from his Taunton second when returning from a break but 2m4f seemed a stretch for him at Cheltenham; this easier track will help in that respect but others appeal more.

First run over the National fences; inconsistent this season and no match for stablemate Madara (who remains Harry Skelton's mount) when ninth of 23 in the Plate at Cheltenham last month; however, Aintree brought out the best in him last year and he's well handicapped on that form; one to consider.

Has hurdle form at Cheltenham over a similar trip to today's but he races mostly on sharp tracks, albeit with soft ground against him in January when well back in his sole chase start here; never showed with a chance when upped to 3m at Kempton recently and he's no strong option to improve a 2-15 strike-rate over fences; yard runs two others with better claims.

Only 2-14 as a chaser but has been highly tried on occasions, as when not far away in a 2m4f Grade 1 at Aintree last April; another good run in a Grade 2 here last month (RPR right up there with his best) and soft ground was no good to him back in a handicap at Cheltenham; patient tactics are likely now sent further and could be interesting with Harry Atkins claiming 7lb, provided conditions don't soften.

Form & Verdict
Last season was a good one over fences when making hay in good-ground novices; tailed off in a Grade 2 at Ayr last month after making a mistake and that was on the back of a six-month break; nothing wrong with this mark on return to hurdling but hard to say for sure what sort of form he's in.

9-28 over fences, the latest win gained at Chepstow (2m7f, good to firm) in October; below that form three times on good to soft ground since but didn't run badly on penultimate appearance and will be better suited by the forecast good ground here; might be the answer.

Strike-rate of 9-27 over fences and his third in a veterans' chase at Newbury in February (3m2f) was encouraging given he had been absent for three months and good to soft ground would have been slow enough; should run well.

Successful in similar event at Chepstow in October (penultimate start) and returns from another break with Rian Corcoran taking off a useful 7lb; however, chance largely depends on what the weather does (ideally needs a sound surface).

Form & Verdict
The winner of two valuable handicaps, including the 2021 Betfair at Newbury; last season never got going at all but this would be easier than the Scottish Champion Hurdle a month ago and he's been dropped another 5lb; dangerous to dismiss with 2m4f worth another go.

Successful in two notable handicaps in 2021, one of them here, and looks well treated on that smart form; however, he's on an 11-race losing sequence and had no obvious excuses when only fifth of the seven finishers at Kempton just after Christmas.

Winning hurdler but better known for his exploits over fences these days, winning his first five chases last year at distances ranging from 2m to 2m4f; reverts to hurdling on the back of a non-completion here last month but he's on a dangerous mark in this discipline.
