Form & Verdict
Progressive over hurdles last season, notching back-to-back wins at Wetherby and Kelso (3m-3m2f); pleasing effort when fourth to Hello Judge over C&D last month; likely to prove all the better for that initial introduction to fences, and his trainer enjoyed success at Sedgefield last week.

Has won three times over fences, the latest over 2m4f here in March last year (good to soft; visored first time); hasn't done quite as well since; stays 3m and on a good mark now.

Not totally solid on form this season, having failed to back up reappearance effort; however, has slipped back to last winning mark and may prove resurgent.

Form & Verdict
Really found his feet over hurdles for Dan Skelton earlier this year, adopting front-running tactics to post a hat-trick of wins between 2m and 2m4f (Wetherby, Huntingdon, and Warwick); has since changed hands for £38,000; makes the switch to fences from a career-high mark.

Form & Verdict
Found plenty after the last when hurdle winner here (2m1f, soft) in March, but couldn't land the odds under a penalty at Chepstow a few days later; off since, and now steps back up in trip (fine on pedigree) for chasing debut; could have more to offer; merits respect.

Off for nearly a year before pulling up on chase debut (jumped poorly) and when reverting to hurdles in March but subsequent efforts back on good ground yielded two wins at around this trip and he didn't run badly off this mark when third in May; needs to cut out the mistakes reverting to fences but interesting back from a break.

Form & Verdict
Step forward from Hexham comeback (first since wind surgery) when rallying gamely to score narrowly over C&D last month; back up 4lb in bid to confirm superiority over Jet Legs (close fourth).

Carlisle specialist; sits close to a career-high mark following a gritty win there (2m, good to soft) in February; "never travelling and jumped poorly" in the Monet's Garden Series Final there three weeks ago; bit to prove for the time being, even acknowledging a 2024 C&D win.

Won here (2m4f, good) in October and followed up at Hexham (2m4f, good to soft); below par at Newcastle and Wetherby since and arrives with something to prove, but he's back on his last winning mark and ten visits to Carlisle have yielded five wins (various ground); not ruled out now back here.

Form & Verdict
Rediscovered winning ways in 2m4f handicap at Hexham (heavy; off 2lb lower) in March; respectable comeback when runner-up there last month; still on a competitive mark but most of these are much less exposed.

Has modest 2-28 career strike-rate and is not the force of old but his chase win was gained on heavy ground and he posted a sound effort when second at Hexham (2m4f, soft) last month; tries a new trip here; contender if stamina holds out.

Verdict

An interesting contest. Hello Judge has gone back up 4lb for his recent C&D win which might give the edge to the reopposing fourth JET LEGS, who should prove sharper and wiser for that chase debut, having finished last season on a roll over hurdles. William Of York switches to fences on his first start for Rebecca Menzies, while the course hurdles winner Big Blue Moon is another having his first taste of the larger obstacles. [Mark Rowntree]
