There’s not much strength in depth here and KABRAL DU MATHAN may be able to defy a penalty for his win in France in the summer. His stable landed this race with another French recruit three years ago. If there’s a fly in the ointment it could be Silverbridge who had only two goes on the Flat in Ireland, showing promise, and has since joined a very good operation. Rebecca Menzies trained last year’s winner and her Ironopolis has possibilities if his jumping has improved since he was last seen in October.[Richard O’Brien]
