Form & Verdict
Winning hurdler but showed that he is potentially a much better chaser when readily landing a beginners chase at Punchestown in November; could go close here.

0-6 for current stable and needs to better his recent efforts but is now 5lb lower than when creditable second at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) in July and can't be ruled out; visor removed after one use.

Safely held at Bangor this month and now 0-5 for new stable this season but his second here (2m4f, good) in July was a good effort and he'll be favoured by the forecast rain; fine over 2m; big player if perked up by change of headgear.

Has yet to win since departing Henry De Bromhead's yard but hasn't been running badly and this is his second run after wind surgery, which appeals to some punters; potentially well handicapped.

Unbeaten in two starts in Ireland; readily beat a more established stable companion in a conditions hurdle at Cork at Easter; satisfactory chase debut when narrowly landing a Fairyhouse beginners in November; looks capable of considerable improvement and looks the one to beat here.

Landed the Triumph at this meeting in 2021 and was in the process of producing a career-best performance, albeit seeming likely to come off second best in the argument, when final-fence faller in this contest 12 months ago (good to soft); absent since but has a good reappearance record, allied with his proven ability to act very well at the Cheltenham Festival; another big run may be on the cards.

Landed the Triumph Hurdle here in 2021; still seeking a first Grade 1 success over fences and form dipped in the Dublin Chase most recently, failing by a long way to confirm Naas November placings with Marine Nationale; ran well but was no match for Jonbon in the Tingle Creek in between; not the percentage call.

Former Triumph Hurdle winner made a bright start to his 2024-25 campaign with decisive front-running success over Marine Nationale in Grade 3 at Naas in November; similar tactics employed when second to ready winner Jonbon in Tingle Creek at Sandown following month and Rachael Blackmore prefers him to the more highly-rated Captain Guinness.

Form & Verdict
Won three in a row over hurdles as a novice last term including a Grade 3 at Thurles but bombed out when sent off favourite for the Coral Cup; looked booked for a creditable second when left clear by the final fence fall of odds-on favourite Hunters Yarn at Fairyhouse last month (Byker 40l second); probably wants further but capable of a big run here.

Classy sort who is 2-7 over fences and ran as well as he was entitled to behind Energumene in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse last month; his second to Impaire Et Passe in February was bordering on a career best and he's Kennedy's pick from three stablemates.

2-6 over fences; won the Navan Listed handicap in 2024, that Down Memory Lane won last year, off 143, which was his last success; excellent effort in the Grade 2 Red Mills at Gowran in February when a 1.25l second behind Impaire Et Passe; well beaten in the Martin Pipe latest but the return to chasing is a plus; a fair bit to find on the figures, however.

Well treated on best chase form, including second in Gowran Grade 2 when returned to that sphere last time, but he has never been able to show it over hurdles; his Cheltenham Festival record of P40, the fourth-place finish over fences, adds to the uncertainty.

Good novice hurdler who went down narrowly in the Boodles at Cheltenham in 2023; subsequent form was disappointing however, last seen when well held on the Flat in the Spring; good bit to find on ratings here.

Verdict

Not a bad race. A few of these are capable of further improvement. Aslukwoodhavit already looks a better chaser and might just have the edge on his Triumph Hurdle winning stablemate Quilixios. Sa Fureur should go well but probably wants further. The one to be on should be MISTER POLICEMAN, unbeaten in two Irish starts and capable of much better than his Fairyhouse chase debut.
