Signed off for previous yard as an eight-race maiden but was beaten under 6l in a Uttoxeter handicap the final time (2m4f, good); since changed hands for £7,500.

Couldn't justify favouritism upped to 3m1f at Huntingdon latest, palpably not staying; this intermediate trip may suit better on good (wouldn't settle on last attempt at trip/ground combination), and he could be on a rather higher mark on last summer's bumper form.

Essentially very disappointing since finishing second in a good-ground bumper at Worcester last summer and that wasn't a good race; could improve for getting back on a drier surface (it was soft for his handicap debut; 2m3f) and this is a new trip for which his pedigree bodes well; they've found a weak race.
