Form & Verdict
Won maiden point in March and went close in good-ground Aintree bumper on rules debut in April; now in the care of Stuart Edmunds and ought to play a significant role on this hurdling debut.

Prominent-racer whose flop over hurdles at this meeting last year can be forgiven; scored on his third start over fences when beating Regent's Stroll by 4l at Cheltenham (about 2m4f, good) in January; jumping left plenty to be desired when third in Sandown Grade 1 later that month, however, and the race he won at Newbury (about 3m, good to soft) last time fell apart; he wasn't always fluent that day either but a clear round puts him on the premises.

Fine on good and soft ground; Grade 1 placed over hurdles and this Cheltenham chase winner did well to finish within 7l of the smart Sixmilebridge in the Grade 1 Scilly Isles at Sandown (2m4f) as he can jump a lot better than he did that day on soft ground; every chance that he'll be able to give weight and a beating to these, provided he stays this longer trip.

Appears to act on soft ground, unraced on heavy; has steadily found his feet since switched to chasing and registered a 4l success at Cheltenham (2m4f, good) most recently; further improvement is possible but certainly needed; has the worst chance on bare ratings.

Not beaten far in two good-quality bumpers in early part of this year and was creditable second on hurdling debut at Chepstow (2m, good to soft) in April; should have more to offer this season; respected.

Only 3lb higher than for sole career win in Newbury handicap hurdle 13 months ago (2m, soft; fine on good ground), which was only three starts back; didn't run too badly on his chase debut on reappearance after a break of 337 days; ran just okay when cheekpieces were tried once before but hard to rule out.

Chase debutant who badly lacks recent match practice (absent for 337 days) but is otherwise interesting, having gained his sole hurdles success on this card last year; market may offer further guidance.

Runner-up on Irish point debut in January and also looked very promising in bumpers in the spring, most notably when winning easily by over 9l at Huntingdon (good); ought to be a tough nut to crack on hurdling debut.

Ended 2025 with emphatic win from the front at Plumpton (3m1f, good to soft), his third chase success, but returned from a break with two disappointing runs (chase/hurdle) towards end of last season and has something to prove.

Joined Christian Williams after winning five-runner Naas bumper (heavy) on debut in February but finished down the field when 50-1 for recent stable/hurdle debut at Worcester (2m, soft) and needs to have taken significant benefit from that outing.
