8st 9lb

J: Luke Morris

T: David Simcock

Creditable second at Southwell (1m4f) in September but has failed to repeat the form in two outings over the same C&D since; defied a 2lb higher mark at Kempton in 2024 and receives weight all round in this field, so has possibilities if taking well to first-time headgear.

J: Rossa Ryan

T: David Simcock

Three-time winner with form at this track; not far off his best RPR when second in a small field at Ascot (1m4f) and a steady pace was no good for his patient tactics when behind Great Bedwyn and Mrs Twig at Kempton two weeks ago; fair shout should this pan out more favourably.

Back in better form the last twice, runner-up at Ascot latest occasion; record of 2-6 on AW features a success (off just 1lb lower) in this contest 12 months ago; respected.

J: Silvestre De Sousa

Lightly raced 5yo whose overall record (turf/AW) is 3-9; showed clear signs of a return to form at Kempton most recently; won well over C&D 12 months ago (sole Ascot attempt) and looks interesting back here.

Progressive in handicaps and the way he mowed down his rivals in a good C&D race last September suggested there'd be more to come; unable to show his true worth on turf since, in one start at Meydan and upped to 1m6f at Newmarket in May, but he remains one to be interested in.
