Best efforts were his three wins on good to soft and soft, two of them over Carlisle's stiff 6f last summer but he managed to get up late on over 5f at Catterick at start of this month (3lb higher today); 7f on heavy did not work out eight days later and he never threatened, after niggled along from some way out, when beaten over 4l at Leicester (5f, soft) yesterday. |
