He had been running creditably on turf prior to a disappointing effort at Ripon 13 days ago; looked all at sea on the undulations on that occasion and the return to a flatter track should suit; could still have a bigger run in him granted a good pace to run at. |

In good form on AW over the winter and he's continued the good work on turf, second at Thirsk and Doncaster before finishing fifth in a hot race at Haydock 19 days ago (6f, good); didn't help himself with a slow start on that occasion but he ran into plenty of traffic before finishing his race off well; needs everything to fall right for him but suspect he's still well treated if getting a strong pace and some luck in running. |
