    Returned to Flat with an eye-catching effort at Royal Ascot (2m4f); going back down to 1m6f didn't look a problem at Glorious Goodwood (again good to firm) 18 days ago but he suffered a nightmare passage before running on into second of 13 (Valedictory fifth); a 4lb rise adds salt to the wounds but he could still have a big chance.
