Twice went close on good ground last month (3m2f/3m; wore cheekpieces) and was very respectable fourth of 15 when dropped back to 2m here (good to soft; first-time blinkers) a fortnight ago; evidently in good nick but his career strike-rate is now 0-22 and others in this field have more potential. |

0-12 over hurdles but lost out only narrowly in consecutive good-ground handicaps last month (3m2f/3m); swaps usual cheekpieces for first-time blinkers here; rain probably won't aid his cause but he ought to cope with today's sharp drop back in trip and is evidently in good nick. |

Maiden after 19 races; has run well in all four hurdle starts and looked possible winner at Uttoxeter last month (2m7f) until capitulating after the final flight; not ruled out but risky until he proves himself. |

Fair stayer on the Flat and made the frame on first three hurdling starts, most recently when fourth on handicap debut at Worcester (2m4f, good) in June; needs a better run here but is well worth a go over the longer trip. |
