Won last year's Summer Plate at Market Rasen after an absence so his 99-day break was no excuse when never counting in that race in mid-July; the cheekpieces tried there are swiftly removed but he's not been running great for a while now. |

Returning from a similar break when winning this 12 months ago off 1lb higher but was on a four-timer then and is now seeking a return to form in first-time cheekpieces; feasible winner should the new experiment work as the forecast rain won't be an issue. |

Completed a four-timer (2m4f-2m7f, various ground) in the competitive Summer Plate at Market Rasen last July, and he's back down to the same mark today; there have been a couple of fair performances among his five runs since but he needs to raise his game if he's to return to winning ways here. |
