Tuesday’s Extra Place Race Tips
Need a hand picking out which horses to back in these selected races? Fear not, we’re here to help!
We’ve put up 8/1 12/1 and 16/1 winners in these articles over the past couple of weeks! Here are our tips in today’s extra place races with Betfred…
2:30 Exeter ROA Owners Jackpot Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 2m1f
With four places available, it’s worth taking a chance on EKAYBURG (20/1 Betfred), who won a Grade Two Bumper at home in France, but hasn’t come close to reproducing that form since moving to Britain. David Pipe’s charge was pulled up last time out, but dropping back to two miles should suit. French-bred horses often take well to very soft ground, and this will be the first time Ekayburg has encountered this kind of going.
3:30 Exeter Make The Most Of Racehorse Ownership With ROA Handicap Chase (Class 5) 3m
KIWI MYTH (13/2 Betfred) took advantage of a feather weight to score a course and distance victory here on soft ground back in March. Fiona Shaw’s chaser made a winning return at Fontwell in November and, although finshing a 13-length third on his most recent run at Plumpton, he looks capable of winning again off his current mark.
4:40 Newcastle Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays Handicap (Class 6) 1m
BRASS CLANKERS (7/1 Betfred) has shaped well on both of his starts over a mile so far, finishing fourth in a couple of handicaps at Southwell. Robyn Brisland’s charge will need to settle better than he did on his reappearance, but if he does, then I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brass Clankers mount a winning challenge.
7:15 Newcastle #betyourway At Betway Handicap (Class 6) 6f
The word slow featuring in the going description will certainly suit ROCKLEY POINT (22/1 Betfred), who has shown a clear liking for slow surfaces on both turf and tapeta. Katie Scott’s seven-year-old won over course-and-distance back in February and was drawn one when beating Lord Of The Glen over five furlongs here on his penulatimate start. He could go well at a massive price.
