he was a fluent winner at Cheltenham last time out and I thought we saw a totally different animal to the one we’d seen previously. He settled well, jumped like a stag and won very well at the line.
The yard expected him to have a big season this year and I can’t imagine him getting a better chance to win a big pot than this race on Saturday. He will go on the ground, love the track and enjoy chasing what is sure to be a really strong early gallop.
The yard tell our team he’s improved plenty since the run both mentally and physically and they expect him to win this barring any major mishaps in running. Where this gets exciting is the promotion with Grosvenor Sports, who are offering Double Odds on your first bet to New Customers and at 6/1, the double odds token they give you takes him up to 12/1 which is nothing short of incredible. This horse will be bang there at the head of the betting come Saturday and we can expect him to go off closer to the 7/2 mark for this.
As always with a horse race, we are in a lap of the gods and I am hopeful with a bit of luck in running we see a real display of equine brilliance. All we can do is bet the horse at the best price possible and leave the rest to the jockey.
