DAY FOUR TIPS FOR GLORIOUS GOODWOOD – THROUGH THE CARD RACING TIPS ON FRIDAY

1:50 Goodwood – Unibet 3 Boosts A Day Goodwood Handicap Cl2 (3yo+ 0-105) 2m4½f

ELYSIAN FLAME is building up a really solid profile on the flat and Tim Easterby’s smart dual-purpose perfomer can get back to winning ways in this sphere.

The Champs Elysees gelding was a Newbury winner on the flat in April after which he ran well in defeat in the Chester Cup where he finished fifth having been given too much to do. That performance was bettered at Royal Ascot latest when he kept on well into third in the Ascot Stakes behind Reshoun where he was only beaten around two lengths.

He’s only been pushed up 2lbs in the weights for that latest effort and a repeat ought to see him in the mix again with conditions no problem.

2:25 Goodwood – Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 (3yo) 1m

BAAEED has looked a potentially top-class prospect in his three starts to date where he’s unbeaten and the Sea The Stars colt can maintain his perfect record with another win upped again in class.

William Haggas has had a quiet week but could enjoy an upturn in fortunes with the three-year old who has impressed in his three run, latterly scoring in Listed company at Newmarket when taking the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes in effortless style from Maximal.

There’s surely better to come from him and while he takes another step up in grade for this latest outing he’s likely to take some beating and can extend his perfect record to four wins from four starts.

ACQUITTED was possibly just given too much to do when finishing a close third at Sandown recently behind reopposing pair Magical Morning and Maydanny, but the Night Of Thunder gelding can overturn that form here and resume winning ways.

A dual-winner in 2019 he has failed to add to his tally since, but recent efforts have suggested he could be back in the winners’ enclosure before too much longer and he enjoys a pull at the weights with Magical Morning which can see him close the gap here.

He should get a strong pace to aim at in this contest which will help him and every chance he can make his presence felt again here.

3:35 Goodwood – King George Qatar Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 (3yo+) 5f

BATTAASH wasn’t at his best on his reappearance in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot last month but he was entitled to have needed that run which came on the back of joint surgery over the winter. However with that under his belt the Dark Angel gelding can bounce back to winning ways.

Charlie Hills’ charge has proven himself a top-class sprinter over the years if a little temperamental although as he’s got older he’s mellowed somewhat and looks more straightforward now. He was unbeaten last term including in this race where he smashed the course record and the drying ground here will be in his favour.

He wasn’t disgraced in that reappearance where he finished fourth to Oxted and he could prove a different proposition now with that run under his belt back at a venue where he’s unbeaten.

4:10 Goodwood – l’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Glorious Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 (4yo+) 1m4f

OUTBOX has been kept busy this term but the Frankel gelding can remain in form and resume winning ways here.

Archie Watson’s charge has won three times this term the latest of which came at Newmarket in June when beating Logician in the Listed Fred Archer Stakes and he ran well in defeat when runner-up to Hukum at York latest in the John Smith’s Silver Cup.

He possibly failed to last home over the longer trip having tried to make all, but back at this trip and reunited with Hollie Doyle he could post a very big run here for all this looks a strong race for the grade.

4:45 Goodwood – Unibet Deposit £10 Get £40 Bonus Nursery Handicap Cl2 (2yo) 6f

EVER GIVEN is 2-3 this term and still looked raw when landing the second of those wins at Chester latest when beating Mahagoni by a neck.

Tom Dascombe’s charge had ran better than the bare result when only fifth at Pontefract the time before although that has developed into very strong form with the winner and third both winning Group Two races since.

Dropping back to six furlongs will be no issue for the Kod Bear colt who could have further improvement to come and while he’s up 5lbs he can make his presence felt again here with another victory.

5:20 Goodwood – TDN Australia Handicap Cl3 (3yo 0-90) 1m3f

SOMETHING ENTICING has twice come up short behind reopposing Wink Of An Eye but it might be worth chancing the Fascinating Rock filly to gain some revenge on that rival by getting back on the scoresheet.

David Elsworth’s charge has won twice earlier in the season at Kempton and Nottingham either side of a three months’ break and she found only the smart Siskany too strong at Sandown in May which represents some solid form.

She hasn’t run at all badly despite meeting with defeat twice behind William Haggas’ charge but with a 7lbs pull in her favour and Hollie Doyle back in the plate she can make her presence felt.
