DAY TWO DONCASTER PLACEPOT TIPS – PERMUTATION FOR THURDAY’S RACECARD
1:10 Doncaster – Silk Series Handicap (For Pro-Am Female Jockeys) Cl3 (3yo+ 0-95) 6f
5 CALL ME GINGER – Generally consistent this term and has shaped well on more than one occasion in defeat prior to scoring last time out. That was his first win for nearly two years and he’ll need things to drop right. Well handicapped on old form and can make his presence felt.
7 LORD P – On a hat-trick of wins having had wind surgery and struck readily last time at Thirsk for the second of those victories. Up in grade now and competing from 2lbs out of the weights but the booking of Hollie Doyle catches the eye and he is capable of another big performance at this higher level.
1:40 Doncaster – British Stallion Studs EBF ‘Carrie Red’ Fillies’ Nursery Handicap Cl2 (2yo) 6½f
3 SUMMER’S DAY – Thrice-raced filly who has improved with each start and struck at the third attempt at Brighton last month in ready fashion. The Godolphin runner now sets out on the handicapping trail where she could be well treated off her initial mark and further improvement ought to put her firmly in the mix here.
6 DAIQUIRI FRANCAIS – Winner of two of her three starts and showing improved form following an inauspicious debut. Perhaps not ideally suited by heavy ground last time but still managed to win and could be better suited by these conditions although any rain won’t harm her chance. Looks sure to improve further stepping into a handicap now and ought to run well.
2:10 Doncaster – Weatherbys Scientific £200,000 2-Y-O Stakes (GBB Race) Cl2 (2yo) 6½f
5 JAZZ CLUB – Has run three times where he has shown ability with each start and got off the mark at the third attempt with a ready success at Windsor last time out. He made all that day and will find it tougher to do so here, but he won well and has the potential for better still for a yard that has a good record in this race.
12 HARROW – Proving progressive and found another chunk of improvement to win for the second time in a valuable York contest during the Ebor Festival, scoring a shade readily in the end and that run could represent some strong form. Looks sure to improve further and the hat-trick seeking colt can go well again in this valuable prize.
21 SYMPHONY PERFECT – Bath winner who has run well in defeat since, finishing runner-up in the Weatherbys Super Sprint and bouncing back from a lesser run to finish fourth behind reopposing Ever Given at York when last seen. That form is strong and if a low draw isn’t an issue she can post a big run to make the frame again .
2:40 Doncaster – Cazoo May Hill Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies) Cl1 (2yo) 1m
2 INSPIRAL – Hard to oppose having won both starts in facile fashion and already heads the early ante-post betting for next season’s 1000 Guineas. Last run came in a Listed contest at Sandown where she ran out a four lengths’ winner and that form looks strong. Open to plenty of improvement and likely to take all the beating. Banker leg and should prove too strong for this field.
3:15 Doncaster – Hippo Pro3 Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 (3yo+) 1m6½f
8 SAVE A FOREST – Proven progressive this term with two wins in the spring prior to finding only one too good in the Lingfield Oaks Trial and ran well for fourth in the Epsom Oaks behind Snowfall. Had a number of subsequent winners behind her and wasted no time getting back on the scoresheet herself when last seen. Should stay this longer trip and ought to give a good account.
9 YESYES – Only beaten once in four starts which came behind Save A Forest at Newmarket in July and quicky got back on the up with a Listed win at Chester over this trip where she won with more authority than the winning margin suggests. Likely has more to offer and still unexposed so should make her presence felt.
3:45 Doncaster – Cazoo Handicap Cl2 (3yo 0-100) 7f
2 MOTAWAAJED – Progressive sort who has won three from five starts and comes here searching for a hat-trick of victories having won over course and distance latest from Dance Fever. That form has taken a couple of knocks since but he could be well treated still with only a small 2lbs rise to contend with and still unexposed may have more to offer so every chance he can go close again in pursuit of his three-timer of wins.
