Friday’s 3,840/1 Lucky 15 – Our UK Racing Best Bets On February 11

Horse Racing Tips on Friday, February 11

There are four meetings spread across Britain on Friday, February 11th with the action coming from Southwell, Kempton, Bangor and Chelmsford. Our expert tipster has produced their best bets across the cards, which make up our advised Friday Lucky 15.

Killer Kane (1.45 Kempton)

A half-brother to Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Go Native, KILLER KANE was picked up for an eye-catching £300,000 by current connections and he can go a small way to repaying that sum with victory in Kempton’s Every Race Live On Racing TV Novices’ Handicap Chase.

A former point winner, Killer Kane had some respectable form to his name over hurdles last season but always shaped as though chasing was where his future lay and added weight to that theory when third at Carlisle in October on seasonal/chase debut.

He hasn’t managed to trouble the judge in two subsequent runs yet travelled with purpose in both showings before cutting out tamely, suggesting that there was an underlying problem.

A tongue tie now goes on for the first time and he drops from 0-140 level into a 0-120 handicap. If stepping up to 3m (gained his point success over this trip) manages to bring about improvement, he looks handicapped to strike.

Behindthelines (2.30 Bangor)

Lucinda Russell makes the journey south here with BEHINDTHELINES, who rates the value play in the Download The At The Races App Handicap Chase.

Although now a 10yo, this son of Milan has been limited to just the nine career starts, returning from almost two years off the track to finish fourth at Kelso in November.

Behindthelines has bettered that position with a third-place in both subsequent outings, most recently at Ayr when looking outpaced when the race began in earnest.

That run came over 3m, and the extra yardage in prospect looks a huge plus on that evidence. Derek Fox maintains the partnership, and a 2lb weights drop since last seen puts Behindthelines on a mark of 113, which is 9lb below his opening handicap chase rating.

Daafy (2.45 Southwell)

Derek Shaw’s DAAFY rates a solid play in the first division of the 7f MansionBet Beaten By A Head Handicap.

This 5yo gelding has gained both career wins at Southwell, one victory coming on Fibresand and the other on Tapeta. That most recent success came on penultimate outing, when winning a shade cosily under Luke Morris.

Today’s rider Cam Hardie took over last time out, and although only fifth there the performance looks worth upgrading as Daafy had to wait for a run and ultimately couldn’t reel in more prominently ridden rivals.

Daafy drops back to Class 6 level here, and with plenty of pace on from the likes of Aquamas and Bobby On The Beat things could fall into his lap late on.

Flegmatik (4.05 Kempton)

Some well known names make the line-up for Kempton’s feature Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap Chase, but the youngest runner in the field, FLEGMATIK, looks the one to side with.

Dan Skelton’s charge remains without a win to his name since October 2020 yet he has run some admirable races in defeat since, including when third over course and distance last time out.

Flegmatik runs off 1lb lower here, so finds himself on a mark of 123, which is 3lb below his last winning rating. He remains relatively unexposed over this 3m trip, particularly compared with the remainder of the field, and therefore rates the best play at the prices.

Friday Lucky 15 Tips. The Skelton’s can team up to victory with Flegmatik in Kempton’s Friday feature.
