IRISH RACING TIPS AT BELLEWSTOWN – WEDNESDAY BEST BETS IN IRELAND
2:05 Bellewstown – Savills Claiming Maiden (3yo+) 1m
STELLAR SPIRIT has made the frame the last twice, latterly finding only one too good at the Curragh on Sunday and turned out quickly Mick Halford’s charge can go one better.
The Charm Spirit gelding is a lightly-raced and unexposed sort and only went down by a half-length latest behind Miss Florentine; her previous third to Oh Purple Reign though has been boosted by the runner-up and stepping back into a maiden he might be able to go one better than last time.
He was arguably unlucky at the Curragh on Sunday having met with trouble in running and assuming this doesn’t come too soon he could make his presence felt.
3:35 Bellewstown – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Handicap (3yo+ 50-80) 1m
FICTICIOUS LADY got off the mark at the 14th attempt when going in over course and distance last month and it might be worth chancing Bill McCreery’s charge to follow up now she’s off and running as a winner.
The Make Believe filly had made the frame three times previously earlier in the campaign and was bouncing back from a couple of lesser runs when scoring by a head from Prince Hector, getting up on the line and the form has taken a small boost since with the fourth winning at Fairyhouse last week.
That win came in a maiden contest and she’s back handicapping here from a mark 2lbs below the one she struck from last time out and with course-winning form to call upon she can strike again here.
4:35 Bellewstown – Indaver Handicap (4yo+) 5f
DANDY SPIRIT hasn’t won in eleven starts since last successful at Dundalk last December but it might be worth chancing on Kieran Cotter’s charge to snap his losing streak here.
The Dandy Man gelding ran well here last month when finishing third behind That’s Mad, beaten two lengths, and that form is looking strong now with the winner and fourth both going in since.
That fourth horse home was Hathique who won next time and was getting 4lbs from the selection, finishing a half-length adrift; the selection is better off here and while his old rival is claimer-ridden now he could be able to uphold the form.
If building on that most recent return to form he can resume winning ways here and also reverse form with Tide Of Time from the same race on better terms.
5:05 Bellewstown – Kilsaran Maiden (3yo) 1m4f
GOODNIGHT KISS has finished runner-up in each of her last two starts, most recently at Gowran Park eleven days ago and Jessica Harrington’s charge can get off the mark here for a deserved success.
The Fastnet Rock filly proved no match for the winner, but she was clear of the third and this marked step up in trip could well suit so improvement may be forthcoming for her in-form yard.
Her yard continues in good fettle and she has the services of a top 3lbs claimer for this assignment so a big performance wouldn’t come as a shock and she ought to make her presence felt here.
