Chris Loader rolls his two best bets into this Daily Double, covering two races at Lingfield on Tuesday 25th March.

It appears that the weather is interfering with racing again with the possibility of Catterick being called off today. Therefore we are sticking to the all-weather action at Lingfield which has some interesting looking races on their afternoon card.

After a frustrating Monday can we get back on course with the Racing Tips Daily Double today? Best odds available here with Unibet.

Tuesday’s Daily Double

4.00 Lingfield – Auchterarder

I’ve followed this Mark Johnston filly ever since she won on debut at Beverley in convincing style. I thought this daughter of Gleneagles would have been one to follow in some Listed events as a two-year-old but was put away until this winter where she has delivered on that early promise. Her last start saw her finishing strongly in a Fast-Track qualifier for fillies at Wolverhampton to earn third place. That form has been boosted and having a little break would have freshened her up for today. In this race despite facing some talented individuals I believe she’s a major danger and is versatile tactically. Aucterarder would be my strongest bet on the card.

4.30 Lingfield – Salkeev

Salkeev was disappointing on debut for Archie Watson after blowing the start at Lingfield. Despite being very well fancied on the day the three-year-old could only muster an eighth place finish. However watching the race back Hollie Doyle did well to get her back into some kind of contention with the rest of the field and wasn’t given a hard time in the final furlong. Also the form has worked out well producing a few winners suggesting that particular race was a fair standard. On paper I don’t think it’s very strong and if Salkeev can build from her experience she should be very much being a competitor here. With Watson operating at a 25% win rate in the last fortnight it seems the daughter of Capella Sansevero has a live chance.
