Chris Loader puts up four horses to back today, covering races at Market Rasen, Ludlow and Newcastle on Thursday 16th January.

I’m back in action with Racing Tips for today’s racing. When I was in fair form at the beginning of the week I will be looking to resume winning ways here. My selections today come from Market Rasen, Ludlow & Wincanton in the EW Lucky15.

Thursday’s Lucky 15

It’s seems that Olly Murphy can do no wrong at the moment yielding a 42% strike in the past fortnight. Strong Glance was sent off a warm favourite at Fakenham and on his yard debut but could only finish second. Despite this he was probably entitled to need the run that day and in this race he’s looked well treated. Last season he managed to run a respectable fifth in a Grade 2 Novices’ Hurdle at Kelso so a rating of 121 looks fair. Also dropping back should suit in trip and he looks the one to beat for me.

Gary Moore just sends the one runner to Market Rasen today. Last time we saw Ballinslea Bridge was finishing second at Exeter in a competitive affair giving away plenty of weight. This race is more of a level playing field and returning to this track is a positive as the lightly raced eight-year-old won at course in 2018. I expect him to go close to winning this one.

Midnightreflection could be a danger in this race has she tries three miles for the first time in her career. The daughter of Midnight Legend has run some promising races with good efforts at Lingfield & Sandown this season. Ben Case always does well with his mares especially when they step up in trip. I believe that off a nice low weight she can relish this test and could be forgotten in the market.

We wait for the final race of the day with our last leg and is one for Liverpool fans with the appropriately named Klopp. Anthony Brittain’s gelding has been running well in recent starts both finding just one to good. His latest effort came on Monday at Wolverhampton but that was a warmer test. Going to Newcastle might just help him as 2 of his 3 careers wins have come here. I’m hoping he can get a slice of good fortune and sneak his head back in front.
