Horse Racing Tips on Monday, June 13

There are the four meetings spread across Britain on Monday, June 13th with the action coming from Lingfield, Carlisle, Nottingham and Windsor. Our expert tipster has produced their best bets across the cards, which make up our advised Monday Lucky 15.

Vin Rouge (1.00 Lingfield) 11/1

Lingfield’s opening race on Monday is the Royal Ascot Form Study On attheraces.com/ascot Handicap. Go Fox looks a likely player here on debut for Neil King, but at a significantly greater price, it could instead pay to side with VIN ROUGE.

This son of Zoffany hasn’t managed to get his head in front in 13 starts, but he has caught the eye reverted to the level the last twice, backing up a 50/1 Salisbury third when occupying that same finishing position at Chepstow last month.

That came in a 0-70 handicap, but Vin Rouge drops significantly to 0-60 level here and remains relatively unexposed over this 2m trip. Vin Rouge handled an artificial surface when trained by Jamie Osborne, and represents a stable in good form, so there’s enough in his favour to put him up as the advised play.

Monday Lucky 15 Tips. Seamus Mullins can land the Lingfield opener with Vin Rouge.

Stone Circle (2.45 Carlisle) 9/2

The first division of the Watch Race Replays At racingtv.com Handicap sees a particularly interesting contender in STONE CIRCLE.

This son of No Nay Never was rated as high as 94 as a juvenile, landing a valuable sales race at the Curragh back in September 2019.

He’s managed to win just the once since then, but recent efforts at Chelmsford and Yarmouth have been promising and he’s now dropped into a 0-60 handicap for the first time in his career. Having travelled powerfully into his race last time, the 7f trip just appeared to stretch his stamina late on (now 0-11 over that trip), so returning to sprinting should help, and Danny Tudhope takes over in the saddle today having won aboard the gelding earlier in his career.

Power Point (3.15 Carlisle) 10/1

It’s a little surprising to see POWER POINT trading at a double-figure price for the second division of the Watch Race Replays At racingtv.com Handicap.

John Wainwright’s charge deservedly got his head in front (at odds of 40/1) in a Redcar handicap back in April, the addition of first-time blinkers clearly eking out improvement.

Although not quite at that level the last twice, Power Point caught the eye when sixth back at Redcar last month, when racing closest of the pack to the stands rail in a race in which the winner made all on the far rail.

That performance, therefore, can be upgraded, and it’s notable that Zak Wheatley, who was aboard the gelding when he scored at Redcar, returns to the saddle today. Connections opt for a change of headgear – with a visor now tried – and given that a headgear switch prompted improvement previously, that same scenario is worth backing here.

Monday Lucky 15 Tips. Zak Wheatley can get amongst the winners at Carlisle.

Beyond Equal (6.40 Windsor) 13/2

BEYOND EQUAL finished second here last month, and Stuart Kittow’s gelding can be backed to go one spot better in Monday’s Fitzdares Sprint Series Qualifier Handicap.

Beyond Equal hinted that stepping back up to 6f would be to his benefit that day, and he has subsequently dropped a pound to a rating of 90, which is just 2lb above his last winning mark.

A winner third time out last season, this could prove to be the perfect time to catch Beyond Equal, and he deserves a change of luck here at Windsor, where he has now finished second in three of his five course starts.
