Monday’s 2,241/1 Lucky 15 – Four Strong Fancies For 5th September

We start the week with four confident picks to make up our lucky 15 for Monday 5th September. We’ve got a trio of tips at Brighton, plus one from Perth’s jumps card.

Our expert tipster has produced their best bets across the cards, which make up our advised Monday Lucky 15.

*Odds correct at time of posting – 3:40pm Sunday 4th September*

Sapphire’s Moon (2.4o Brighton) – 6/1

This is a poor race, and it could pay to side with the proven quality of C&D scorer SAPPHIRE’S MOON

Tony Carroll’s gelding has put in a couple of lacklustre efforts since that win here last month, but back over C&D he can be seen to best effect. He pulled clear with Rainbow Side in that win, and that one has since gone on to win next time out to boost the form.

The main danger will be Red Alert, who was an impressive winner over 6f here last time out, but he’s never raced over this far before and he’s almost a stone heavier than our selection. Looking at the prices, we’d much rather be with Sapphire’s Moon.

Temur Khan (3.10 Brighton) – 4/1

TEMUR KHAN would’ve rattled in a C&D hat-trick last month had he not been badly hampered last time out, and he can get back to winning ways in this.

With a C&D record of 142112 (4-6), he looks to be the obvious choice back at his favourite course. The only blemish he’s had on his Brighton record was a fourth in an amateur jockeys’ race and can be easily forgiven.

Mollie Phillips was on board for three of his six career wins, including all three runs here last month, and is back on board here. The main danger will likely be recent C&D winner Silver Bubble, but we’re siding with Temur Khan to continue his excellent recent form and add another Brighton win to his CV.

She’s A Rocca (3.20 Perth) – 11/4

Trainer Nicky Richards has sent out one runner in the past two weeks (Bon Retour), who romped to a 14-length victory at Carlisle, and he looks to have a huge chance with the first of his runners today – SHE’S A ROCCA

Having won two of his five races this year, including a last time out win at Southwell, he looks excellent value to follow up here. The runner-up in that Southwell win, Simply Red, has since run out a cosy winner of a similar race at Bangor to give a timely boost to our selections form.

Champion jockey Brian Hughes has been on board for both wins this year and is booked to ride him again in this race. This year he has a 30% strike-rate at Perth (12 winners from 40 rides) and he can steer She’s A Rocca to another victory here.

Dream Harder (3.40 Brighton) – 7/1

DREAM HARDER went close on his sole attempt at this trip back in July, and with talented jockey Saffie Osborne taking off 3lb, he can gain a first win here.

He beat Super Stars by almost five lengths in that race, and that rival lines up here as one of the market leaders, despite meeting off the same terms (thanks to the 3lb claim from the jockey).

The biggest danger could be Electress, who is taking a drop in class to Class 5 for the first time in his career, but he’s been disappointing this year. With question marks over a lot of these, we’re keen to side with the one who has proven form over this trip in Dream Harder.
