BRAESIDE is progressing with every run over fences where he’s taken on the likes of Pencilfulloflead and Asterion Forlonges and Gordon Elliott’s charge can open his account in this sphere at the sixth attempt.
The Presenting gelding has hit the crossbar the last twice, beaten less than one length here two starts ago behind Kavanaghs Corner and then crossing the line three lengths adrift of Fils D’oudairies latest at Navan.
That form was done little harm when the winner chased home Envoi Allen next time and this looks a decent opportunity for him to open his account where he is open to plenty of improvement still over fences.

Unbeaten Gauloise looks very smart and could easily extend her perfect record although ROYAL KAHALA could give her plenty to think about and at the likely prices is taken to end the winning run of Willie Mullins’ rising star.
The Flemensfirth mare won a bumper here in November and has since gone on to register a brace of impressive wins over hurdles at this track, the latest of which came when beating Hook Up by five lengths over this trip earlier in the month.
Peter Fahey’s charge won easily that day, travelling well into the race and squeezing through on the rail before readily asserting and there could be better to come from her. She does have to give 2lbs to the Mullins runner but she can improve again to maintain her unbeaten course record and every chance she can strike again.
2:33 Fairyhouse – ITBA_official 2020 Awards Maiden Hurdle (Div I) (4yo+) 2m
GLOIRE D’ATHON has shown a decent level of form in his two starts over hurdles for Henry de Bromhead since arriving from France and the Doctor Dino gelding can get off the mark at the third attempt.
A winner on the flat for Alain Couetil he returned from more than 400 days off to finish a creditable third behind Magic Tricks on his hurdles debut and first run for his new yard at Navan in December and the longer trip might just have stretched him when next seen finishing fourth here earlier in January when tried over further.
Dropping back to two miles could be a good move and still with potential for better to come he can find a jolt of improvement to open his win account over hurdles.
