THURLES IRISH RACING TIPS – THURSDAY 26 NOVEMBER IRISH RACING PREVIEW
12:25 Thurles – Killinan Beginners Chase (4yo+) 2m2f
FRONT VIEW might have needed his reappearance at Fairyhouse two weeks ago when only finishing fifth behind Assemble on his chase debut; but Joseph O’Brien’s charge is taken to build on that run where he can do better this time around.
The Konig Turf gelding had shown some ability in bumpers and over hurdles, winning at Punchestown in a bumper contest prior to chasing home top-class Envoi Allen on his hurdles debut which he followed up with a Cork success.
Runner-up again in a Grade Three contest he contested at the Cheltenham Festival where he finished midfield in the Martin Pipe Hurdle back in March and he appeared tenderly handled on his chasing debut.
With that outing under his belt and the less testing surface to contend with he could prove a different proposition now and open to further progress it would be no surprise if he were to make his presence felt here.
12:55 Thurles – ThurlesRaces.ie Handicap Chase (4yo+) 2m2f
FOX LE BEL has shaped better than his bare results might suggest in his past few starts and Elizabeth Doyle’s charge could get off the mark now.
Although still a maiden the Network gelding looked set to go close on his recent reappearance at Tipperary last month, unseating his rider four out when getting into contention and looking likely to play a big part in the finish.
That was just his third run over fences and it came on the back of seven months off so he ought to strip fitter now and if none the worse for that mishap last time then he could open his account here with the potential for better still to come over fences.
1:25 Thurles – Thurles Maiden Hurdle (4yo) 2m
GUA DU LARGE shaped with promise on his debut at Fairyhouse last month where the Kapgarde gelding was denied only by a neck behind Queens Brook and Henry de Bromhead’s charge can go one better here.
He shared the runner-up spoils in a dead-heat with stablemate Decimation who has run well since; while the winner of the race subsequently filled the runner-up spot himself in a Grade Three contest so the form looks useful.
Open to considerable potential he can get off the mark at the second attempt given he’s expected to improve for that experience.
3:25 Thurles – Horse & Jockey Handicap Hurdle (4yo+ 80-95) 2m6½f
MYSTIC EMBARR stepped up on a promising seasonal return to get off the mark at the second attempt when running out a comfortable winner at Fairyhouse two weeks ago and Edward Cawley’s charge is taken to double up.
The Kutub gelding scored by seven lengths that day from the reopposing Oneknightmoreihope and while he’s worse off with that rival now he could confirm the form nonetheless give he appeared to win with something to spare.
This return to a longer trip is unlikely to faze him given he’s won over three miles in the past and he should continue to make his presence felt here.
