Thursday’s Daily Double – 7/1 double at Leicester and Meydan
Chris Loader rolls his two best bets today into this Daily Double, covering two races at Leicester and Meydan on Thursday 13th February.
Wednesday was another disappointing day as my original double was meant to be at Hereford but unfortunately the meeting was abandoned. Therefore I had to change by double to the all-weather action. Nevertheless the only excuses can be made for London Calling who hurt himself at the start, whilst Red Stripes just wasn’t good enough on the day.
Hopefully we get the all clear at Leicester today and they’re shouldn’t be any inclement weather at Meydan where hopefully we can turn things around with the Racing Tips Daily Double. Best odds available with Ladbrokes.

Thursday’s Daily Double
2.00 Leicester – Vocaliser
This eight-year-old has been sliding down the weights for a long time but is now down to a winnable mark of 94. He proved it when he bounced back to form by finishing second at Sedgefield on his latest start for Robin Dickin. Furthermore Tabitha Worsley is booked taking an extra 5lbs off Vocaliser’s back. The son of Vocalised is also a course winner and it just seems that he has a lot in his favour. I think today is the day he can return back to winning ways in this race.
4.15 Meydan – Magic Lily
It’s not often I will look to Meydan for a selection but this Magic Lily looks a good thing. The five-year-old mare battled hard to land a Listed race on her last start for Charlie Appleby. That was her first win since her debut effort at Newmarket in 2017 where she went on to finish behind Laurens in a Group 1 later that season. Afterwards she missed the whole of 2018 before coming back towards the end of last year. With Appleby in great form this daughter of New Approach might be able to take another step forward in her career resurrection.
