TIPPERARY TIPS ON THURSDAY – IRISH RACING BEST BETS ON THE FLAT

4:50 Tipperary – Camas Park Stud Irish EBF Fillies Maiden (IRE Incentive Race) (2yo) 7½f

KARKIYNA has finished fourth on both starts to date but the Caravaggio filly can improve and has shown enough already in her outings that she is capable of picking up a race.

Johnny Murtagh’s charge most recently finished around four lengths’ fourth to Homeless Songs at Leopardstown in July, not helped by being hampered over one furlong from home but already held. Nevertheless that form has worked out with the runner-up going on to win twice since which includes a Group Two contest.

Further improvement ought to put her firmly in the mix here and no surprise if she were to go close.

5:25 Tipperary – Meadowview Stables Race (3yo+) 7½f

SPEAK IN COLOURS might be worth chancing to bounce back to winning form despite being rather hit-or-miss this term; Joseph O’Brien’s charge remains a capable peformer if on a going day and he has the back class to be a force in this race.

The Excelebration colt was a dual-winner last term in Group Two and Group Three contests and he made a pleasing return when finding only one too good in a muddling three-runner affair at Dundalk in February.

Things haven’t gone to plan for him this term although he has contested largely at a higher level and is forgiven his recent foray into a Curragh handicap where he was badly drawn and may have resented the blinkers he wore there.

The headgear is left off and this is a more straightforward assignment he takes in so he could well bounce back if putting his best foot forward back up in distance.

6:00 Tipperary – Coolmore Stud No Nay Never Fairy Bridge Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies & Mares) (3yo+) 7½f

PEARLS GALORE has only one finished out of the frame for this yard following his switch to France and Paul Twomey’s charge can go well here.

The Invincible Spirit filly won her first two starts for her current yard with victories at Limerick and Cork prior to finding only one too good at Gowran Park in a Group Three contest. Possibly amiss at Dundalk next time she was given seven months off the track and she has been in good form since.

A third at Leopardstown in the Ballycorus Stakes has been followed by winning the Brownstown Stakes from Valeria Messalina latest and a repeat of that effort will surely see her in the mix again.

6:30 Tipperary – Abergwaun Stakes (Listed Race) (3yo+) 5f

FRENETIC won four times last term as a juvenile which included a trio of victories at this level and the Kodiac filly ought to go close here.

Ger Lyons’ charge had also gone close in a Group Two last term and having looked in need of the return at Cork back in June where she failed to beat a rival she has improved for the run to readily land a Cork handicap latest from White Lavender.

She scored by three-parts of a length on that occasion and the form has been boosted with the fourth home since going on to win twice while further subsequent winners have come from those who finished further back.

Back at this higher level she should continue to give a good account and no surprise if she were to be in the frame again despite a poor draw.
