WEDNESDAY HORSE RACING TIPS – DAILY RACING BEST BETS AT HEREFORD, WETHERBY, KEMPTON & LINGFIELD
12:40 Hereford – Cotswold Hereford Mini Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div II) Cl4 (4yo+) 2m3½f
Tom Symonds’ runners can do little wrong at present and PRESENTEDWITHWINGS is taken to follow up his recent success over this course and distance on his hurdling debut.
The Presenting gelding showed some good form in bumpers prior to having more than two years off the track and he ran well on his reappearance in a Huntingdon bumper in October prior to his breakthrough success where he ran out a two lengths’ winner over Hurricane Mitch.
That success came despite a bad mistake three out and there might be improvement to come from him over obstacles on the back of that win despite the form perhaps not looking particularly strong. However he represents a yard that has a near-60% strike-rate over hurdles in the past fortnight and he should make his presence felt here.
1:10 Hereford – Cotswold Hereford BMW Handicap Hurdle Cl5 (4yo+ 0-105) 2m3½f
IMPERIAL ICON probably didn’t handle the heavy ground when disappointing at Carlisle earlier in the month, but the Shantou gelding could be worth chancing to quickly bounce back from that effort having shaped with some promise previously.
Kim Bailey has his runners in good form and that last run was his handicap debut where he was competitive to three out before fading in the conditions behind Applaus. That form though has been boosted by the fourth winning since and the handicapper has eased him 2lbs in the weights following that outing.
Less testing conditions here could see him in a better light while the longer trip could unlock improvement and he can do better this time around for his in-form yard.
1:30 Lingfield – Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap Cl6 (3yo+ 0-60) 2m
KEANE’S KINGDOM two runs to date haven’t been devoid of promise although the Joshua Tree gelding has looked in need of the experience on both occasions, still running green when finishing fifth at Kempton last month.
Archie Watson’s charge was making his return from more than seven months off the track on that occasion where he crossed the line some 15 lengths adrift of the winner. However he’ll be better for that run and the form doesn’t look too bad with the runner-up and third horses home both making the frame again since.
He can improve for this longer trip switching to a handicap where a mark of 61 might underestimate him and with first-time blinkers also applied he could deliver a big performance here.
2:25 Wetherby – Watch The Jumps In HD On RacingTV Handicap Chase Cl3 (4yo+ 0-140) 1m7f
SOME REIGN looked set to score over course and distance when last seen out only to fall at the last and gift the win to reopposing Ballyvic Boru who had looked held; but assuming that mishap hasn’t affected confidence then the Kayf Tara gelding could make amends.
Rose Dobbin’s charge had shown a decent level of ability over fences previously, often making the frame in his starts without managing to get his head in front. However he got off the mark over the larger obstacles at Hexham on his return to action and the fourth from that race has won since.
With the yard in decent fettle he could be worth chancing to bounce back from his fall last time and no surprise to see him in the mix here.
5:30 Kempton – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Nursery Handicap Cl4 (2yo 0-85) 7f
AUTUMN TWILIGHT might be worth chancing to get back on track having possibly found the company too hot when tried in the Group Three Horris Hill Stakes last month.
David Menuisier’s charge had won on debut at Salisbury, scoring by a head over Ensyaaby; but he made little impact next time behind Mujbar where he beat only one home although the heavy ground may have been a factor in his poor run.
He ploughed a lone furrow along the stands rail away from the action and probably wasn’t seen to best effect; but switching to a handicap he could prove well-treated off this 78 rating and still unexposed he could be capable of better so every chance he can make his presence felt.
6:35 Kempton – Unibet Casino Deposit £10 Get £40 Bonus Handicap (Div I) Cl5 (3yo+ 0-75) 1m
CAPRIOLETTE found only one too good latest over course and distance and Ed Walker’s charge might be worth chancing to go one better here.
The Most Improved mare was improving on a fair return to action last month at Chelmsford which might have been needed when finishing fifth to Top Class Angel and she was beaten just over one length in that latest run behind Uzincso.
Only 2lbs higher here she ought to get a decent pace to aim at in this contest and it would be no surprise to see her making her presence felt in this contest under Tom Marquand and she can collect this prize with a return to winning ways.
