Yard does very well in bumpers; pretty useful pedigree and he's open to improvement on his second start, but he didn't show enough when fourth at Hereford (2m, good to soft; 11-4) in November to be of interest here. |

Made pretty good start to chasing career when second at Ffos Las (2m, good to soft) in October but two slightly disappointing runs have followed (2m/2m5f); connections are evidently very keen for him to tackle a marathon trip but others in the line-up have less to prove. |

Won the Welsh National (3m6f, soft) in 2021 and the Warwick Classic (3m5f, heavy) in 2023; now 12 but he was a fine third in the Welsh National (3m6f, soft) three weeks ago and his surplus stamina may be no bad thing today; possible player if this doesn't come too soon after his hard Chepstow race. |
