Unexposed colt whose 6f form comprises a solid record (121) at novice level on AW/turf and midfield effort, fading late on, in notable handicap at York; this drop in trip is worth exploring and he remains open to further progress; shortlisted.

Strong-finishing runner-up at Nottingham (1m2f, good to firm) on second start and no problems going one better when 2-11 in four-runner maiden at Lingfield (11.6f, good to firm) four weeks later; gives the impression he is just getting started and has plenty of potential.

Better than result suggests at Goodwood (1m2f, good) on debut and plugged on for third of five in maiden at Haydock (1m4f, good) four weeks later; late foal who can still improve, but she needs to if she's to win this.

Tongue tied first time and left his first two efforts behind when seeing off two next-time-out winners in a 7f Newbury novice (good) in May; on the back of that he went off favourite for the 30-runner Britannia at Royal Ascot but met repeated trouble in running; evidently well regarded (has also been Group entered) and can be given another chance.

Got off the mark at the sixth attempt in Leicester maiden (1m, good to firm) last month and followed up on handicap debut here (1m, good) a fortnight ago; there are mixed messages from his pedigree regarding the step up in trip and he could do with settling better than last time, but this progressive 3yo was strong at the finish and could take a 5lb penalty in his stride for a top trainer who has won this three times since 2011.
