Form & Verdict
Very useful hurdler who won Grade 2 novice at Ascot (2m3f, good to soft) on chasing debut in December and ran at least as well when close third in Grade 2 Pendil at Kempton (2m4f, good to soft) a fortnight ago; today's shorter trip may not be ideal but, nevertheless, he's a big player.

Last season over hurdles ended on a low note at this meeting; solid for most of this term, switched to fences for last five starts and winning twice in small fields; put firmly in his place in Grade 1 novice events over 2m4f here in February and particularly at Aintree last time, but this return to a handicap will also demand a career best.

Experienced hurdler who won Grade 2 novice on chase debut at Ascot (2m3f, good to soft) in December and made it 2-4 over fences in warm little handicap at Exeter (2m1f, good) last time; ran well behind two of these in Grade 2 at Kempton in February but likely to be vulnerable in this company.

Form & Verdict
Second several times over fences before keeping on gamely to win Grade 2 handicap at Kempton (2m, good to soft) in December; not in same form at Cheltenham the following month but still commands respect in this easier race.

He's run pretty well in defeat at Kempton on his two starts this year (3m, good/good to soft); also ran okay when ninth in this last year (good to soft) but beaten nearly 20l and he's just 3lb lower this time around.

His best form is over shorter, including last season's 2m Grade 2 victory here off the same mark as today; whether he wants 3m is questionable, for all that he was only 2l off The Doyen Chief here last month.

Won a good-quality, seven-runner handicap at Kempton (2m, good to soft) in December and is just 2lb higher here; ran well when second of three at Exeter (2m1f, good) last time and he stays this far; each-way possible.

Form & Verdict
Made all for clearcut success at Chepstow (2m3f, good to soft) in November, his second start over fences; fell in two of his other three chases but reverts to this discipline after a good hurdle run last month and has a fighting chance if all goes to plan.

Acts on any ground; had very little to spare at Sandown (2m4f) most recently but the runner-up has franked the form since; still competitively treated back up 2lb, assuming he takes to first-time headgear.

Did not make any significant further progress after making all for clearcut success at Chepstow (2m3f, good to soft) last November but is still quite lightly raced over fences and makes his seasonal debut from a workable mark; can make a bold bid.
