Form & Verdict
Useful maiden on the Flat in Ireland; has shaped nicely on both starts over hurdles, short of room before the last flight when second to a promising sort at Cheltenham (2m1f, good to soft; raced freely) five weeks ago; could do with settling better but has the best form as things stand.

Useful maiden on the Flat at up 1m5f and he has a record of 2212 since switched to hurdling for his current yard; seems to be learning to settle better and he didn't get a smooth run when an eye-catching second in the juvenile handicap at Cheltenham (2m, good to soft) last month; that was another good step forward and he could continue to progress in this sphere; interesting contender.

Has more scope than your typical ex-Flat 4yo and he was a useful maiden in that scene at up to 1m5f; came up short in his first two hurdle races but was unlucky not to be closer to leading Triumph contender Minella Study here in December (good to soft) and then, despite racing freely, won as he liked when a strong favourite at Ascot (soft); made all that day and those tactics can spell danger in a race of this nature, but he should have more to give; Jack Kennedy is a notable booking with the Elliott stable represented.

Failed to progress on the Flat for Aidan O'Brien after a 1m 2yo win, but he shaped with some encouragement on hurdling debut when a never-nearer eighth in a big field at Leopardstown (80-1); should do better, and he looks the pick of the Hogan pair.

Had wind surgery since failing to land the odds at Worcester (2m; bled from nose) last time on debut for Faye Bramley; form for Irish yards featured a success on the Flat and good second over hurdles; major contender provided he's back on song.

Useful Flat racer who came second in a good-quality Ascot juvenile hurdle (1m7f, soft; also suited by good ground) for Denis Hogan in January; his two runs either side of that weren't quite as good but he still has strong claims on this stable debut.

Won over 1m for Aidan O'Brien at two; easily pick of three hurdle runs for this yard when second in Ascot handicap (soft), most recently never counted on Flat return in 1m6f Curragh conditions event early this month; cheekpieces now tried and back in trip on return to handicap company.

Useful Flat form at about 1m2f; beaten in the region of 10l in his two runs over hurdles despite taking a firm grip (tongue tied last time on soft; 2.25l behind Talakan); needs to settle better but this sharp track could benefit him.

Not far off useful on the Flat for Charlie Johnston, proving reliable and winning 2m handicap at Goodwood (heavy) last autumn; changed hands for 165,000gns in October; likely to be suited by longer distances in due course but he commands respect on his hurdling debut even so.

Acts on good and heavy ground; won off 2lb lower over C&D for Charlie Johnston last autumn and he ran well over hurdles last month, on his second run for current yard; seems tactically versatile and he's in the mix off a workable mark back on the Flat.

Useful on the Flat for Charlie Johnston, proving reliable and winning 2m handicap at Goodwood (heavy) last autumn (sold for 165,000gns soon after); 9-2, weakened to finish a well-held sixth of ten in Ascot juvenile (2m, soft) on hurdle debut in January; should be capable of a lot better in this sphere.

Didn't show a great deal on the Flat for Jack Channon last year (unplaced all six runs) but came second in two juvenile hurdles for new stable in December; absent since January but still looks quite interesting in this basement grade on Flat return.

Much better over hurdles than on the Flat, finishing second on first two runs in this code (2m1f/2m, heavy/good); prominent when unseating three out at Ascot (1m7f, soft) last time; he's one to consider.
