The only horse to give his running on the rain-soaked ground when 10l winner of the Group 1 Coronation Cup at Epsom (1m4f) in June; runner-up on his four other starts this term (including on good to firm), most recently the Arc at Longchamp (1m4f, good) where he led over 2f out; today's assignment comes just 13 days after that hard race but there can be optimism that he will be just as effective at 1m2f based on that latest evidence; respected. |

Lightly raced 3yo who showed a jolt of improvement when winning a handicap at Haydock (5f, soft; previous win came over 6f on good to firm) six weeks ago; clearly going the right way, but this Group 1 requires another sizeable step up the ladder and David Egan jumps ship to ride Power Blue. |

9st 9lb |
Disappointed twice this summer but his fortunes have turned around spectacularly with a switch to blinkers and tongue-tie; won a weak Doncaster Cup (2m2f, good) on first occasion but followed up by narrowly getting the better of staying star Scandinavia in the Cadran at Longchamp (2m4f; for second year running) two weeks ago; he's a star himself (that was his third French Group 1 win) with the best form in this line-up and he needs great respect despite going back to 2m. |
