Won with cheekpieces added at Chelmsford (1m, Polytrack) in February but that was a seller and he's been well back in handicaps in three runs for his current yard; continues to drop down the weights but he's untried at this trip and others are preferred. |

Promise to begin with for former and current yard; might find things happening too quickly running over a trip this short for the first time; back from a break. |

Well-bred 5yo; showed promise as a 2yo for Richard Hannon (three runs; 6f-1m) but makes stable/handicap debut after mammoth 1,059-day absence; market helpful. |

Well bred; showed some ability on good to soft at Glorious Goodwood (6f; better form) and Newbury (1m) but a good deal more is needed to mix it with the best of today's rivals. |

Made all to win a C&D handicap eight days ago; unpenalised for that win and officially 5lb ahead of the handicapper but it may not be quite so straightforward this time. |

Exposed filly who has been in patchy form this year, including when beating one home over 1m2f at Windsor last month; drop back in trip will help, and she's 3lb below her last winning mark, but others look safer. |

Won off 9lb higher at Haydock (1m, good) last September but he's struggled for new yard this season and was a well-held fourth of five at Leicester last time; has plenty to prove and needs a big turnaround. |

Took a decent step forward on his second handicap start when third at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) last Thursday; missed the break that day so better can be expected again if getting away on terms; player in his fresh cheekpieces. |

Better record on Polytrack than turf and the handicapper's given him every chance, with him now 3lb lower than when not beaten far as favourite over C&D in January; looks set to go well back on the AW. |

Has a stronger record on AW than on turf but produced best effort in this sphere when third off 7lb higher over C&D last June; good chance if that form is repeated. |

Was just in front of Sea Of Dubka when second on seasonal/handicap debut on AW (10.5f); 7-2 fav, outpaced turning for home before keeping on well on inner (not much room) when chasing home Femme Beauty at Killarney (1m3f) last week; extra furlong should be fine. |

Beat just a total of two horses in his maidens last season, at 1m, 7f and 6f; however, as a step up in trip made a difference at Dundalk last month when he took second over the extended 1m2f, with Cameclose back in fourth; yard in superb form. |

Betting Forcast
25/1 City Of God, 15/8 Prince Rasam, 9/1 A La Noche, 6/1 Thiscouldbefun, 16/1 Special Ghaiyyath, 7/2 Decalogue, 4/1 Virtue Patience, 9/1 Musashi
Verdict
None of these are totally convincing but PRINCE RASAM goes well fresh, is flexible regarding the ground and stays further than 1m so he has less to prove than most. Thiscouldbefun was soundly beaten here last time but was making a quick return from an earlier C&D win and has had a longer break this time. Decalogue has a race in him but he looked hard work at Newmarket, when getting reminders nearly 3f out, so this might not be his ideal race kept to 1m.[Emily Weber]
