Placed in four of five starts in Ireland last year; made an inauspicious stable debut at Worcester in August but he was set to post a much-improved effort when in the lead but falling two out here (21.5f, good) four weeks ago; got a 4lb rise for his troubles but still looks a key player. |

Performed poorly on last month's stable debut, after a layoff, and is now 0-15 over hurdles but he ran well in some big-field handicaps in Ireland last year and may yet come good for Chris Gordon. |

Showed only minor promise on first three hurdling starts (2m-2m3f) but was placed in 13-runner course bumper on debut in November and has scope for improvement on this handicap hurdle debut. |

Placed in Chepstow bumper (good to soft) on debut in November but safely held on first two hurdling starts, more recently when fourth over C&D (heavy) a fortnight ago; improvement required. |

Sole win came in a French chase back in 2022 and has shown little off a steadily declining mark in recent times; needs the change of stables to spark a revival. |

Has had just the one win, gained in a French chase back in 2022, and there's little in recent hurdle form to suggest he's about to add to that; 6lb out of the handicap. |

Fair Flat maiden but yet to progress over hurdles and has often raced too keenly, though was a bit more tractable back at 2m last time without ever getting involved; hood removed now back up in trip and may do better at some point, but she remains a work in progress for now. |

A fair Flat maiden for Harry Eustace but she's failed to kick on in this sphere, pulled up on her handicap debut at Huntingdon (2m4f) last month; she may still do better, though, if becoming more tractable. |

Beat two others to win a 3m point in May; inconsistent in four subsequent runs over hurdles but she was placed at Newton Abbot (about 2m5f) in July and again over that C&D (also good) four weeks ago; possibilities if she's on a going day. |

Won a point in May but is 0-13 under rules; showed ability when runner-up over C&D (good) in July but ran poorly at Worcester since; the return to this track may spark a return to form. |

Best effort when switched to a left-handed track for a 2m5f handicap at Fontwell in May last time and, although this drop back in trip is not an obvious plus, he remains unexposed and open to improvement. |

Jumped left throughout and was beaten about 60l on recent handicap debut at Exeter (2m2f, good); this switch to a left-handed track is an obvious move but he needs to take a big step forward over the new trip. |

Verdict
Most of these have something to prove, but I LOVE YOU SIVOLA (nap) returned from a break with an emphatic win on his stable debut at Hereford last week. This versatile 8yo should be unfazed by this drop back in trip and is a major player again under a penalty. The main danger is County Champs, who got back on track with a good second behind an improver here 18 days ago.[David Moon]
