took keen hold, towards rear, switched to near side 3f out, shaken up and carried head awkwardly over 2f out, went second over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, kept on well |

Edged out Reach For The Moon to win Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster (7f, good to soft) last September; seemed to run close to his best when 2l seventh in the Group 1 St James's Palace at Royal Ascot but he looked an awkward ride when beaten favourite in a 1m Glorious Goodwood Group 3 since (both good to firm); has blinkers added now and ought to be bang there if putting his best foot forward; any rain would be in his favour. |

Won the Group 2 Champagne Stakes last year and back to form on second run this season when 2l seventh of 11 in the Group 1 St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm); with a clear run he'd have probably beaten Berkshire Shadow, who was a neck ahead in sixth, and although it was a blanket finish the form is working out well; strong claims back down in grade. |
