Form & Verdict
Lost out only by a neck on last month's debut for Jo Davis at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) and kept on strongly for clearcut AW success ten days later; 7lb higher now but still unexposed over this trip and needs to be taken very seriously in current mood; now in the care of Seamus Durack; placed on good to soft/soft ground; hooded for first time.

Poor strike-rate and she hasn't been at her best in two runs back from a wind operation; dangerous mark as a result and she has the assistance of a talented apprentice this evening.

Form & Verdict
A maiden after six runs but posted good effort when third on recent turf debut at Brighton (7f, good to firm) and can make her presence felt here if handling the forecast slower ground.

Yet to win on AW but she's rated 7lb lower in this discipline and has run well at Lingfield the last twice (7f and 1m); others in today's field appeal more.

Form & Verdict
Came from off the pace to open account here (1m, good to firm) last month, his second handicap, and probably bettered that performance when close/clear second at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) on Wednesday; major player if also suited by today's trip-and-ground combination.

A regular on the AW here (three wins) who's much higher in the weights than when last seen frequently on turf; generally consistent but whether he's up to this mark on grass is the leading question, and Quamby looks his trainer's best chance.

Four-time winner over 1m/1m2f here and just 1lb higher than when beating a dual subsequent winner at Wolverhampton (8.6f, Tapeta) in January, but he has the outside stall and will require some luck given his come-from-behind style.

Form & Verdict
Struggled to get competitive on first two outings but led for a long way and shaped with more promise than bare form suggests when ninth of 11 in Wolverhampton novice (7f, AW) last month; makes turf/handicap debut off a lowly mark here; further improvement possible.

Unexposed after only four runs but was safely held in basement-grade classified race when dropped to 6f at Leicester (good) three weeks ago and needs to find extra on today's handicap debut.

Verdict

Hitched backed up last month’s course win with a good second at Yarmouth on Wednesday and might still be improving but he’s untested on ground slower than good to firm and, for that reason, preference is for BOOM BOOM POW. The topweight enjoyed a revival on her two starts for a different stable last month and remains very well handicapped on some of her 2yo form.[Chris Wilson]
