Form & Verdict
Well beaten on both starts at this track (hurdling); wind surgery before last term and showed useful form in defeat initially over fences, beaten a nose on first occasion; lesser shows on last two outings, latest when back over hurdles in March; good mark if returning at his best.

9yo who appears to have regressed but heavy ground may have been too much at Sandown three weeks ago and prior to that he was a fair fourth at Ascot (2m3f, good to soft); his two biggest wins have come at Kempton and he's one to consider now back here off a dangerous mark.

Has gained both chase wins over 2m4f but ran creditably in the 2023 Haldon Gold Cup on last attempt at about 2m; faded into fourth over 2m3f on latest outing; possibilities off an attractive mark back down in trip.

Form & Verdict
Won on his fourth attempt in Irish maiden points; went on to make it 3-4 over hurdles last term, with better form in the mud than on good ground; switches to chasing and should have plenty more to give.

The key to him is soft ground, on which he was third in this race in 2024 and had for the first time since over fences when third of 16 off today's mark to Isaac Des Obeaux in the Midlands National at Uttoxeter (4m2f) on latest outing; blinkered on last two outings; each-way claims.

The key to him is soft ground which he had when third in the 2024 Scottish National (4m); hasn't had his favoured conditions since then over fences and, with the ground drying out (officially good to soft) in the Grand National Trial at Haydock last time, he ran surprisingly well to be a close fifth, keeping on; the first-time blinkers fitted there, which did him no harm, are retained; chance.

10yo whose form was patchy in 2025 and he was never going well when pulled up in the Welsh National in December (3m6f, good to soft); however, today's forecast soft ground could help and he's 4lb lower than when third in the 2024 Scottish National (4m, soft); not written off in first-time blinkers.

Form & Verdict
0-5 over hurdles but staying-on fourth of 17 in EBF Final here (2m4f handicap, soft) in March; had wind surgery during the summer and tongue tied as well when making a satisfactory chase debut in five-runner handicap at Uttoxeter (2m6f, good) three weeks ago; needs to build significantly on that.

Useful chaser for Emma Lavelle; consistent pointer and closely matched with Clashhill on his penultimate run, since when he's won easily at High Easter (3m, good to firm); looks a player.

Placed off 7lb higher mark in stronger race than this at Exeter (3m, good to soft) in November but was pulled up on next two outings and was last of four (albeit not beaten far) when cheekpieces were added for latest run; now 0-15 under all codes and needs to up his game; drops back in trip with visor tried today.

Form & Verdict
Goes particularly well on soft/heavy, as when winning 2m handicap hurdles in two of his four starts last season (at this meeting on first occasion); brings potential to this chase/seasonal debut.
