Form & Verdict
200,000Euros brother to yard's Grade 1-winning novice hurdler Mighty Potter; a disappointing favourite on debut in Goffs Land Rover bumper at Punchestown in April but returned much improved at same venue last month under positive ride, finding plenty for pressure to shrug off Teuchters Glory over a furlong down; 7lb worse off with that rival here; stiffer finish should suit.

Grade 1 novice hurdle winner over 2m in Ireland and sold for 740,000euros at the Caldwell dispersal sale; record of 2-4 over fences for new connections features an excellent front-running performance in the novice handicap at the Cheltenham Festival (2m4f, good to soft) three weeks ago, galloping on strongly and leaving the impression he'll be as effective upped further in distance; respected with further progress plausible.

Form & Verdict
Point-to-point second bought for GBP180,000 at Goffs Aintree Sale and second past the post on debut for Gordon Elliott in Punchestown bumper last month but awarded race, having been bumped by the winner in closing stages (pair clear); related to some decent types and looks a decent prospect but this likely tougher.

Bought for £180,000 after finishing second in a point behind Encanto Bruno who made it 2-2 in bumpers when impressing at Cheltenham in October; awarded a Punchestown bumper (yielding) in the stewards' room after going down by a head to Lecky Watson and there's unlikely to be much between them here; Jamie Codd rode then but not now.

Flat-bred winner is out of 1,000 Guineas winner Speciosa; debut winner of Huntingdon bumper (good) over a year ago for Pam Sly (only ordinary form) was then bought for GBP220,00 at Cheltenham December Sales and debuts now for champion trainer; very interesting.

0-6 since winning on chase debut last February; below par at Fairyhouse in November last time but the yielding to soft ground provides an excuse; good runs at Roscommon (2m, good to yielding) and Ascot (2m1f, good) previously in the autumn and he goes well fresh; has an each-way shout.

Already a better chaser than hurdler and it was a commendable effort at the weights when runner-up in a Grade 3 novice at Roscommon a month ago (2m, good to yielding); has scope for further progress and in-form Irish stable always respected on British forays.

Form & Verdict
Fame And Glory gelding half-brother to dual bumper winner and decent hurdler Glan made quite impressive debut in Galway bumper two years ago, coming off the pace to win on soft; returned from over two-year absence when third to Caldwell Potter at Punchestown last month, coming off the pace to put it up to the winner home turn only to tire final furlong; benefit of that run and 7lb turn around in weights should see him much closer here.

Promising third in a maiden hurdle at Naas in February before getting off the mark in a five-runner bumper at Limerick the following month; faded from two out into a remote fifth on seasonal debut at Gowran; rated 125, should be able to do better.

Debut winner of mares' bumper at Roscommon in July posted a better RPR when third in Gowran mares' Listed contest in September but this looks a stiff task.

Gained third hurdles victory when landing handicap off 100 at Down Royal in March; good effort off same mark over fences when 3.5l second to Butty O Brien at Wexford 35 days ago; needs improvement back in a beginners', but in good form.

Was gaining her third career hurdles win when returning to form at Down Royal last month, taking advantage of reduced mark and drop in grade over 2m5f (Rajjnatin third); 0-5 chasing, though was going okay when brought down three from home in 2m5f Fairyhouse handicap; 3lb lower here so respected.

Going okay when brought down on her penultimate start in a Fairyhouse handicap chase but didn't build on that back over hurdles here latest; moving back up in trip a plus and down in grade so not fully discounted.

Verdict

An intriguing rematch between CALDWELL POTTER and Teuchters Glory on different terms, the former taken to confirm Punchestown form over this stiffer track which should suit the brother to Mighty Potter. The selection’s trainer also saddles Cato Capone, while Willie Mullins has an interesting contender in Special Cadeau, a son of a 1,000 Guineas winner who faces much better opposition than when scoring at Huntingdon over a year ago.
