Form & Verdict
Snapped a barren spell when a dour winner at Kelso (3m, soft; off this same mark) in December, but hasn't been operating at that kind of level since; finished a tailed-off last of five back at Kelso last month after taking a particularly heavy fall at Doncaster previously; monitor only.

Dual winner in France (2m4f/2m5f chase, very soft) for Daniela Mele; unconvincing so far for Venetia Williams (0-3; twice pulled up) but is easing steadily in the weights; trainer - who also saddles a runner in the opening race - is 2-2 (100%) here so far this season.

Bettered poor seasonal debut when third over C&D (good to soft; 8l behind Anytrixwilldo) in refitted blinkers in January, but he ought to have been suited by the heavy ground when pulled up at Ffos Las on Friday and has become far too unreliable.

No better for the 279-day break when registering yet another pulling up last month, despite having his preferred 3m on slow ground; 9lb below his one British winning mark now but hard to warm to; blinkers return.

Supplemented his Boxing Day Wetherby gains (3m, good to soft) with a fine display of jumping in first-time blinkers over C&D (good, 15-8; from a 4lb lower mark) recently; likes it here (2-3 overall) and is firmly on the upgrade; looks the one to beat assuming that the ground conditions don't deteriorate further.

His two wins over fences for Rose Dobbin were in 2022; down the weights and had some respectable runs last winter, before his £6,000 sale in May and another respectable show in fourth of 12 at Uttoxeter (favourite) on stable debut in July when it looked as if 3m2f stretched him; back down in trip and on the shortlist.

Form & Verdict
Ex-Irish (with Jim Dreaper latterly) point and hurdles winner; stuck to his task to finish a satisfactory third (with a weakening Myburg ahead in second) on Catterick (3m1f, soft) stable debut over the festive period; raised 1lb since, but essentially is fairly weighted off this mark; consult the market.

Won a 3m Wexford maiden hurdle for John Queally last summer before switching to Ewan Whillans; lost a shoe on first start for James Ewart at Catterick (2m3f; fourth of nine; beaten 19.5l) latest; is easing in the weights and also low-mileage over fences (0-4) but does need to take a step forward.

Stamina seemed to ebb away on the run-in when caught late at Catterick (3m1f, soft; Westy Fox third) on penultimate start, and it was a similar tale over 3m3f at Sedgefield latest (took a heavy fall at the final fence); this shorter trip looks more suitable; one for the shortlist.

Verdict

An interesting contest with clear positive markers for Future Benefits (C&D), Get With It (returns fresh from a break) and the consistent Myburg who admittedly does have to illustrate that he’s none the worse for a heavy Sedgefield fall. However, assuming that the ground conditions don’t deteriorate further, it seems foolhardy to look beyond the alluring claims of the progressive 6yo COURT AT SLIP who jumped well when successful over C&D recently.
