Form & Verdict
Made a winning 2yo debut at Pontefract last September (1m, good); created a favourable impression at Thirsk on her reappearance and although she conceded her unbeaten record at Newmarket on her handicap debut, she still ran with great credit; unraced on slower than good so would have something to prove if the rain forecast for Saturday gets into the ground.

Won handicap at Haydock (1m2f, good to firm) in June; soundly beaten in Listed races (one here) on next two outings, and although coming from last to fourth in nine-runner Listed race at Haydock (1m, good to firm) 12 days ago was her best form, this new trip has to be a worry; hood enlisted.

Form & Verdict
Confirmed debut promise (1m, AW) when winning soft-ground novice at Yarmouth in April; ran a shocker over 1m2f since (first time he had run without a hood) but too soon to write him off with hood refitted.

Was gaining a first handicap success when digging deep at Newmarket (1m, good) last month; 2lb rise not excessive (latest effort backed up by the clock) and can feature in this stronger race.

Similar useful form (RPR 77) in three runs in novice/maiden company; no progress in two handicaps this summer but edging down the weights and still not fully exposed; down in class today; declared 9.00 Haydock Saturday.

Won twice for Richard Fahey in the summer of 2024 but lost his way; sold for 10,000gns to join new yard in October; gambled on but well held on stable debut at Thirsk (7f, good) last month in first-time cheekpieces (now removed); may be worth another chance off sliding mark.

2-25 for Richard Fahey, the wins coming in 2024 (one over C&D); left that yard out of form and for 10,000gns; historically well handicapped if Adam Kirby can get him going again; tries cheekpieces; market interesting.

7f novice winner here last summer (good to firm); back to form on second start this year when a never-nearer third at Catterick (7f, good) 11 days ago; greater emphasis on stamina will suit today but wouldn't want significant rain.

Won 7f 2yo novice at Redcar last August and kept on for fair third at Catterick (7f) two starts ago; pulled hard in prominent pitch in first-time cheekpieces (retained) when close fifth at Newcastle (7f, AW) latest and could build on that now back up to 1m, if she gets cover and settles better.

Disappointed on latest outing six weeks ago and now 0-12 but lost out only by a neck off today's mark at Nottingham (8.3f, heavy; also suited by good) two starts ago and has obvious claims if back at that level here; blinkered for last three runs; cheekpieces refitted today.

0-11 and needs to prove he can get the job done but he's returned to form in these blinkers the last twice, finishing second at Doncaster (1m, good) and Nottingham (1m, heavy); can give another good account.

Verdict

There should be big runs in Five Towns and Greycious Anna, while Bear On The Loose is much better than he showed at Newcastle last month. Cancan In The Rain (second choice) is up in grade but is feared although DORA MILAJE (nap) is preferred. The topweight ran well at Newmarket on her handicap debut three weeks ago and still has the potential to rate a fair bit higher.[Paul Smith]
