Raced enthusiastically but was still up to the job when winning over C&D under Dylan Whelan in August and he then bumped into one well handicapped at Plumpton (2m4f; again good); if a sound surface is important to him then the weather doesn't bode well.

Hammered in his previous handicaps but was a further advertisement for his new trainer's talents when making all for a comfortable success on his debut for the yard at Plumpton on Monday (2m, good to soft; 5-4f); hard to believe that today's longer trip will trouble him (has raced over 3m1f) and he's well in with a penalty.

Verdict

Rebel Intentions bumped into one last time but his improvement has come on good ground, so with rain about he might be worth taking on. Samatian should go well if able to resume where he left off last season and there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Libor Lad after his improved effort last time. However, KING OTIS looked a different horse on his debut for James Owen when making all at Plumpton on Monday and he didn’t appear to have a hard race. He can defy a penalty.[Alistair Jones]
