Form & Verdict
Very useful handicap hurdler who looked as good as ever when close third in Galway Hurdle (2m, good to yielding) this summer; will be very hard to beat if that level of form can be transferred to fences but his finishing effort sometimes disappoints and he was outstayed by a 50-1 outsider when odds-on for his recent chasing debut; tongue-tie now added.

No threat on his last two Flat starts last August/September but was third of 16 in this 12 months ago (good to firm) when 1lb lower; ran well at the Cheltenham Festival in March; holds each-way claims once more.

Sterling all-purpose type who hasn't won since late 2023 but has been involved in strong events on the Flat, including at Royal Ascot, over hurdles and fences since; ran as well as he ever has when a close fourth in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham (2m, good to soft) last month; solid claims in refitted cheekpieces.

Form & Verdict
Unexposed 4yo who won narrowly on chasing debut in France (2m1f, very soft) in March, form that has been well advertised by the runner-up since; likely to encounter much faster ground on today's British debut but has joined a top stable; interesting.

Inconsistent for new stable last season but ran well before fading into third in first-time cheekpieces at Newbury (2m, good) in March and has good claims in this easier race if the headgear continues to aid.

In and out since coming to Britain from France, but he shaped quite well when fifth of nine over C&D in November (good to soft; Beau Balko second) and he's now 7lb lower; shaped better than the bare result (made a bad mistake) when fourth of seven at Stratford 12 days ago; needs to put everything together but first-time cheekpieces and a returning tongue-strap could help.

Form & Verdict
Formerly very useful on the Flat; enjoyed productive spell over hurdles for Archie Watson last year and has taken form to a higher level over fences for Sam England this season, winning four times; needs to bounce back from a poor run two months ago but still features prominently in calculations.

5-9 over fences, the latest win gained in very strongly run race at Cartmel (2m1f, good) in May; well down the field in two competitive contests since but in calmer waters today and has a fighting chance if back on song.

Flat background; made a successful return to fences (fifth win in this discipline) at Cartmel (2m1f, good) and didn't give himself a chance at Uttoxeter by racing too freely; wouldn't be a certain stayer over this far.

Returned from break with two low-key Flat runs this year but came from behind to win Cartmel chase (2m1f, good) comfortably by 6l when back over jumps last month; was probably flattered by the way that very strongly run race panned out but is now 5-7 over fences (including a C&D win).

Form & Verdict
Won quite valuable series final for mares from a long way out of the weights here (2m4f, good) in April and followed up in run-of-the-mill contest at Southwell (3m, good to soft) a few days later; also ran well when third at Chepstow (2m3f, soft) a fortnight ago but is not favoured by today's weights and is not sure to be suited by the drop back to 2m.
