Sold for £200,000 after winning by 5l on debut in an Irish maiden point (3m, yielding) in March; went very close on rules debut in novice hurdle at Ascot (1m7f, soft) three weeks ago, when clear with the Nicky Henderson-trained 6-5 favourite, and that sets a good standard.

Both wins came at Huntingdon when trained by Ben Pauling; made his stable debut in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, when not beaten far, and he wasn't disgraced when hooded and held up out the back in the Swinton at Haydock (favourite) two weeks ago; this will feel like a drop in the ocean in comparison and, although turned over at a short price last October in his only chase, he should make light work of these two rivals on his return to fences.

Lightly raced for his age; caught the eye in no uncertain terms when twelfth of 23 in the County at Cheltenham on first start for current yard, travelling smoothly but short of room in straight and finishing full of running; very best efforts for previous stables came on good ground and he missed the Scottish Champion when the rain came; still unexposed and a fascinating contender in a first-time hood.

48,000euros 3yo; sixth foal; half-brother to four winners in France including a Listed chase winner and a Listed hurdle winner; 6-1, stayed on into 8l second of 16 in a maiden bumper here (2m, good) in May, which was nothing special but he should improve and represents a top yard.

Useful and consistent on the Flat (stays 2m); left the Charltons for 75,000gns one month ago and his usual cheekpieces are replaced by a hood for this hurdling debut; brings the best Flat form.

Just did enough to pip My Bobby Dazzler in this race last year (good ground; wore cheekpieces) and returned to form with front-running success in first-time visor at Newbury (3m, good to soft) in March; safely held, though, in Cheltenham race won by Long Draw in April and remains on career-high mark.

Completed this season's hat-trick over shorter trips, in lower grades and on softer surfaces; won over a similar trip to this over hurdles but on soft ground that seems to suit him ideally; a good-ground renewal of the Grand Annual proved far too tough last month.

3-4 over fences, the wins coming over 2m1f/2m on heavy/good to soft; clearly knows how to get the job done and he's on an upward curve, but he's 5lb higher than for a narrow win in a small field at Warwick last time and today is a much tougher test of his credentials.

1m7f Flat win (soft) on his only start in France and further fair form when second over 1m2f (good) in October for new yard; that saw him dispute favouritism for a 4yo hurdle race at Kempton (2m, good) five weeks ago but he was beaten 36l; needs to settle better and to improve his jumping.
