Form & Verdict
Flopped badly when favourite for Grade 2 novices' handicap hurdle at Newbury in March and not seen again since but her wide-margin win at Sedgefield (2m4f, good) two starts ago was quite impressive and, having won an Irish point in 2021, she's a good chasing prospect.

Form & Verdict
Came good over hurdles with two 2m1f wins in the spring (soft/good); ran as though something was amiss in October, after a break, but remains open to further improvement if all goes to plan on today's chasing debut.

8yo who made it 5-16 over fences when bouncing back with a clearcut win at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) two weeks ago; up 6lb but she hit a personal best last time and is a big player again if her stamina holds out on this step up 3m.

4-15 over fences; gained a win at Chepstow (extended 2m3f, good) in October but hit with a 7lb rise and she's been well held on both outings this year, most recently trailing home last of three at Wincanton (2m, good) three weeks ago; only 2lb lower and now has plenty to prove.

4-14 over fences; October's Chepstow win (2m3f, good) triggered this career-high mark, off which she was found wanting by some way at Kempton, admittedly in a useful handicap; this shorter trip is another slight query.

Form & Verdict
Bumper/hurdle winner who recovered from siginficant jumping error on final circuit to finish second of 12 on last month's seasonal/chase debut at Ayr (2m4f, good to soft); has to take a 3lb rise on the chin but still needs to be taken very seriously here.

Has mixed record over fences since last autumn but was a respectable fifth in a much stronger race than this when back over hurdles at Worcester (2m4f, good) last month and is another 3lb lower here; seems best suited by good/good to soft ground; big player.

Form & Verdict
Ridden clear to win Huntingdon maiden hurdle (2m4f, good) in February and was very creditable second in Grade 2 novices' handicap at Newbury (2m4f, soft) the following month; makes chasing debut after 233-day absence but still features prominently in calculations.

Built on November's promising reappearance when a wide-margin winner at Fakenham (2m5f, soft), but has failed to reproduce that level since and was pulled up at Taunton eight days ago; capable off this mark but she isn't the easiest to predict.

Overall record of 4-35 but her last win was a dominant display at Fakenham (2m5f, soft) in December; still looks feasibly treated on that form but she's not easy to predict and was last of eight back at Fakenham last month; risks attached.

Not the force of old but exploited favourable mark when beating Jacks Touch by 21l in two-finisher C&D (soft) contest last month, her second C&D success; also suited by much faster ground but has gone back up 7lb.

Bumper and three-time hurdle winner when trained by Dan Skelton but has not shown much for new stable this year (three runs), and can't really blame the slow ground; sports refitted cheekpieces today; needs to turn a corner.

Verdict

In an interesting mares’ chase the suggestion is I AM GONNA BE, who came from a poor position for a creditable second in her seasonal/chase debut at Ayr last month. Aubis Walk, Somespring Special and Presenting Nelly (preferred in that order) all disappointed on their latest hurdling starts but remain good chasing prospects.[Chris Wilson]
