Form & Verdict
Flopped badly when favourite for Grade 2 novices' handicap hurdle at Newbury in March and not seen again since but her wide-margin win at Sedgefield (2m4f, good) two starts ago was quite impressive and, having won an Irish point in 2021, she's a good chasing prospect.

Pulled up in an Ayr novice handicap last time (2m4f, heavy) having made a winning chase debut in a handicap over same C&D in December (soft); up in trip (has won a 3m point); plenty to find.

Form & Verdict
Came good over hurdles with two 2m1f wins in the spring (soft/good); ran as though something was amiss in October, after a break, but remains open to further improvement if all goes to plan on today's chasing debut.

Two chase wins in April, at Plumpton (19.5f, good) and Cheltenham (16.5f, good), but well below that level when fifth at Bangor last month and will do well to cope with these progressive rivals.

Pulled up in her first two chases (both last autumn) but returned from break with clearcut win at Plumpton (2m3f, good) last month and followed up off same mark at Cheltenham (2m, good) four days later; 7lb higher in deeper race today but must be considered in current mood.

Form & Verdict
Bumper/hurdle winner who recovered from siginficant jumping error on final circuit to finish second of 12 on last month's seasonal/chase debut at Ayr (2m4f, good to soft); has to take a 3lb rise on the chin but still needs to be taken very seriously here.

Has mixed record over fences since last autumn but was a respectable fifth in a much stronger race than this when back over hurdles at Worcester (2m4f, good) last month and is another 3lb lower here; seems best suited by good/good to soft ground; big player.

Form & Verdict
Ridden clear to win Huntingdon maiden hurdle (2m4f, good) in February and was very creditable second in Grade 2 novices' handicap at Newbury (2m4f, soft) the following month; makes chasing debut after 233-day absence but still features prominently in calculations.

0-6 over fences last season and arguably better suited by further than 2m4f but makes her reappearance from a dangerous mark and can't be ignored; cheekpieces removed; tongue-tie fitted.

Off the mark over fences at 13th attempt, keeping on well to draw 12l clear over C&D (good to soft; first run after wind surgery) on New Year's Day; this race is much more competitive but she remains well handicapped on older form.

2m6f trip and mark in her favour at Leicester latest, so 24l defeat was disappointing (Getaway Theatre pulled up); form of 11l C&D second before that likely not strong enough either; has had wind surgery.

2-5 in novice/maiden hurdles this season, the wins gained at Worcester (2m4f, good to soft) and Newton Abbot (2m1f, heavy) in September; below form on latest outing but still looks interesting on today's chase/handicap debut.

Verdict

In an interesting mares’ chase the suggestion is I AM GONNA BE, who came from a poor position for a creditable second in her seasonal/chase debut at Ayr last month. Aubis Walk, Somespring Special and Presenting Nelly (preferred in that order) all disappointed on their latest hurdling starts but remain good chasing prospects.[Chris Wilson]
